For school board. For our students. For our future.

Meet Meg

Meg is the Vice President of Creative Operations at Bridges Strategies, a native of Murray County, Oklahoma and most of all, Meg is an ardent believer in the power of strong communities, especially the schools that help enrich and create those communities.

After growing up in rural Oklahoma, Meg experienced the positives of having friends, family and neighbors who show up for you—this heavily influenced her dedication to serving her community and giving back. It also proved that a solid education that prepares our students for the future is one of the most important things a community can support. Ensuring that every child has access to a robust, world-class education regardless of their background or where they live is what drew her to serving on the OKCPS School Board as a special appointee in 2019.

As a lifelong Oklahoman with experience in marketing and digital media strategy, Meg is also an active committee member of the Oklahoma County CASA Marketing and Communication Committee. She is also an advisory board member of Callo de Cincos in Historical Capitol Hill, where she has previously co-chaired their annual event, Fiesta de las Americas. Meg has also recently joined the board of directors for Canterbury Community Voices to help support their initiatives in South OKC and expand access to music education.

Meg resides in OKC with her husband, Forrest Bennett, who has served as the State Representative of House District 92 since 2016.
